ATTORNEY AT LAW
Lorna Hilliard
Lorna Hilliard joined Leitner Law in June 2026, bringing extensive litigation and advocacy experience to the practice. During her decade as a criminal prosecutor, Lorna helped crime victims and their loved ones navigate the legal system during some of the most difficult times in their lives, working closely with them to make decisions guided by their needs and interests.
Through that experience, Lorna saw firsthand how emotionally and financially devastating legal conflicts between family members can become. She now works diligently with clients to create thoughtful estate plans designed to minimize uncertainty, prevent conflict, and protect the people they care about most.
Lorna believes every client deserves thoughtful, compassionate legal guidance tailored to their unique relationships, family dynamics, and personal values. Many years into her legal career, she pursued an education in psychology, which continues to inform her client-centered approach. Lorna is especially passionate about helping clients navigate unique family dynamics and plan for loved ones with special needs or mental health concerns.
Originally from Northern California, Lorna traveled extensively while serving in the U.S. Army before falling in love with the Shenandoah Valley during her studies at Washington & Lee School of Law. Outside the office, Lorna enjoys running, reading, board games, and spending time with her husband and their dogs. She stays connected to the community by volunteering, teaching yoga, and serving on the Executive Committee of the Augusta County Bar Association.
